Dónal Glackin is a freelance Director and Director of Photography specialising in factual documentary storytelling. With over ten years of experience, he has produced work for leading broadcasters including TG4, RTÉ, BBC and Eurosport.
A fluent Irish speaker, Dónal works extensively across Irish-language programming, bringing cultural fluency and authenticity to the stories he tells. His visual style is shaped by a background in photography, where he developed a strong sensitivity to composition, natural light, and visual detail. This foundation informs his cinematic yet grounded approach to documentary filmmaking.
